Congressman Arcuri will also be able to make big decisions regarding health care reform in New York.
That’s why the Binghamton Coalition of Health Care for America Now, met Wednesday at Broome Community College to urge the legislator to support Obama’s Health Care Reform Bill.
Health care advocates also presented Arcuri’s office with petitions representing hundreds of families urging him not to slow down health reform before the august recess.
“People who have lost their loved ones, family members, all because they didn’t go to the doctor for simple curable diseases and treatments, and because health care is so expensive, people have to choose between putting food on the table or going to the doctor,” said Lea Webb of Citizen Action.
Health care for now also proposed a tax increase on high income people to help pay for health care for working families and small businesses.
