Take Action to Win Real Health Care Reform!

HCANSaratoga (1)Now is the time for real health care reform!

Last week we asked you to send a message to five members of the New York Congressional delegation who are holding up progress on the House health care reform bill – H.R. 3200.

This bill funds real health care reform – reform that would give everyone access to quality, affordable coverage they can count on – through a surcharge on family income over $350,000, which would prevent taxing the health care benefits of working families.

Congress is scheduled to start their summer recess this weekend, so we need to act fast. Through last week’s action alert you sent over 3,000 faxes into these representatives’ offices. Now, let’s have one more strong show of support for health care reform.

We all know that health care reform just can’t wait any longer. Every day thousands of Americans lose their coverage, while many are facing financial disaster from outrageous health care costs.

We need to make sure our members of Congress know how important this issue is to us – and urge them to vote on H.R. 3200 before the summer recess.

One thing I have learned about Republicans, is there unflinching ability to ignore Process when it serves them well. I believe in free speech and the right to peacefully assemble. But what about the right of our representatives to speak at there own place of assembly. Angry mobs are almost always very misinformed and well-fomented. WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER!!! Healthcare reform is going to be difficult for all Americans ( well, I hope. I wonder how much the insurance companies will have to suffer). Let us make our voices heard over the din of the misled, their children and grandchildren will thank us.
