Rochester residents head to Washington, D.C. for rally

Rochester area residents are heading to Washington, D.C. to participate in the “One Nation Working Together” march and rally on Oct. 2.

Participants leaving from Rochester will gather at Monroe Community College at 10 p.m. tonight to board 12 buses destined for Washington, D.C. Buses are also leaving from Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Gowanda, Corning, Syracuse, Binghamton and other Upstate locations.

Rochester area residents will be among hundreds of thousands of people who are expected to gather in front of the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall to demand change in the nation’s priorities with the slogan “Jobs, Justice and Education.” One Nation Working Together is a social movement dedicated to increased investment in jobs, justice and education.
