Long Island: The People’s Public Hearing for Long Island Bus

Nassau County is planning on privatizing the Long Island Bus service. This could have some devastating effects on working families. The effects of privatization could be:

  • Drastic fare increases
  • Decreases in bus safety and cleanliness
  • Cuts to current service stops
  • Cut in frequency of stops
  • Entire bus lines being eliminating

Nassau County refuses to hold a public hearing on the matter, so we are holding our own People’s Hearing. Join bus riders, Long Island Jobs with Justice, the Long Island Progressive Coalition, New York Communities for Change, and Tri-State Transportation Campaign at the People’s Public Hearing for Long Island Bus.
