With the local primary approximately 24 hours away (Technically, polls open at noon. Click the link to find your station!), we have stepped up our outreach efforts in support of Lynn Eckert for the Ulster County Legislature, District 5.
What Have We Been Up To?
Eckert demonstrates a strong sense of justice in both her words and actions, and her devotion to campaign finance reform demonstrates her commitment to serving demographics far outside of the 1%.
What’s Happening This Week?
Today & Tomorrow (9/11 & 9/12) help us Get Out The Vote for Lynn Eckert in Ulster County!
Phonebanking & Doorknocking all day 10:00 am until 9:00pm
Tuesday, 9/12: Stand With Adrin (Again)
1 Garraghan Drive, Kingston
We will again come together to show Adrin he has the community behind him. Too many young black people are chewed up and spit out by the justice system, and we need to show Kingston Police that we stand with Adrin, and demand that his charges are dropped, and that the officers and the department are held accountable.
The response of the Kingston Police Chief and Mayor is dissapointing, and we need to show our outrage. #StandWithAdrin #NoJusticeNoPeace #BlackLivesMatter
Bring signs and invite a friend. There’s strength in numbers.

TMI Project presents: “Voices in Action” Showcase & Fundraiser
323 Broadway (BSP!), Kingston
“Join TMI Project for a night of unforgettable true storytelling by participants in workshops offered through its Community Outreach Initiative. Through this program TMI, a Hudson Valley non-profit, brings distinct versions of its transformational memoir writing workshops to incarcerated and at-risk teens, cancer patients, survivors of domestic violence, military veterans, LBGTQ teens, and other populations that don’t often get to tell their stories or be heard.
Honoree Tony Porter will be given an award for his groundbreaking, internationally recognized work aimed at preventing violence against women as well as his partnership with TMI Project and the Kingston High School Football Team. Tony Porter is a leading voice on male socialization and his 2010 TED Talk, seen by over 2 million viewers, has been named by GQ Magazine as one of the “Top 10 TED Talks Every Man Should See.”
This year TMI Project will also be recognizing four local leaders and activists as TMI Project Agents of Change: Jeramie Collins, former head coach of the Kingston High School Football team; Elise Gold, co-founder of The Maya Gold Foundation; Callie Jayne, lead organizer for Citizen Action of New York; and Denise Ranaghan, director of adult wellness services at Mental Health Association of Ulster County.
All proceeds will be used to advance the Community Outreach Initiative of TMI Project, a non-profit organization offering transformative memoir workshops and performances that invite storytellers and audience members to explore new perspectives.”
