<p><strong>Opening Plenary /w Union Representatives</strong> &#8211; A panel discussion between local union representatives,  who together, strive towards building a stronger progressive movement on Long Island.  Green Jobs &amp; Energy Efficiency Campaign Workshop &#8211; Learn how a new state program is  helping create new jobs, revitalize communities, and making people’s homes more comfortable at affordable  rates.</p>
<p><strong>Ready for Kindergarten, Ready for College Workshop</strong> &#8211; This year public schools faced the largest  state budget cut in education history. All children deserve a quality education starting with early care and learning programs that prepare our children for their future. This workshop will be an opportunity to discuss how these school cuts have hurt our kids and how the state can chose to create revenue to put the funding back in our schools.</p>
