Did you get you do your taxes? I did mine this week. Well, I didn’t do them, my tax guy Ettiene did them. But no worries, I was super helpful. On Tuesday evening, I barged into his office with a pile of receipts, a bottle of whiskey and a handful of one dollar bills. When he asked what was going on I looked at him with a tinge of desperation in my eyes and whispered “HALP” softly. Long story short, Ettiene is the man, and my taxes are done. On top of all the great work we got done this week, we’re putting pressure on him this weekend!

Sanctuary Cities Are Important. Citizen Action of New York joined Cosecha, ICE-Free Capital District and other local groups, community members and leaders on the steps of City Hall to urge the mayor and members of City Council to vote in favor of making Schenectady a sanctuary city. Our Capital District members aren’t very interested in waiting for Agent Orange and his Injustice League of Wrinkly People with lifetime subscriptions to “All Lives Matter Weekly” to roll out their attack on our communities.
Can We Keep the Good Health Care? On Tuesday, April 11, Binghamton community members, activists, and Obamacare recipients gathered in front of Rep. Claudia Tenney’s Office to release a report detailing the number of people with pre-existing conditions in the 22nd Congressional District. The action was one of many that have occurred in an effort to pressure Tenney to reject the American Health Care Act.
Time for Taxes. This event hasn’t happened yet, but it’s so important I had to include it in the recap. Join us this Saturday at TaxMarchNYC to demand that Donald Trump releases ALL of his tax returns. Not going to be in New York City? No problem, there will be over 100 marches across the country including Central New York, and the Southern Tier, demanding that Trump shows us what he’s hiding.
