Is it just me, or did this week fly by? I blame the Fourth of July. Since when does this holiday land in the middle of the work week? I guess that didn’t stop everyone from being productive, or destructive. Mr. 45, AKA The Illiterate Man in Orange, spent his holiday season attacking CNN, forgetting to book a hotel room for the G20 Summit, and misspelling simple words like “Fair Elections” and “Ethics.” So yeah, I’m not a fan of Trump. You guys, on the other hand, are awesome. Let’s just talk about that for a bit.

Out for the Week. I got some bad news. Well, technically it’s good news. Next week I will be joining the wonderful staff at Citizen Action of New York and the Alliance for Quality Education for our three-day staff meeting. What does this mean for you? Well, you probably won’t be getting this normal weekly email from me. While I love our conversations, this staff meeting gives us a chance to regroup now that session is over and prepare for the months ahead. Get ready, because things are going to be pretty interesting.
Faso Friday Never Stops. Rep. John Faso probably thought the short week would stop us from showing up to his office to protest. Unfortunately for him, our brand of activism doesn’t take days off – there is just too much at stake. Instead, we marched right up to his headquarters and gave him a piece of our mind. We could tell that he and his staff were caught off guard because they didn’t have a chance to bring their paid counter protestors do anything but stare blankly out of their windows. In hindsight, I probably would have done the same thing. Especially with the awesome Lilly leading the activists. Just look at her in this photo, everything about it says “superwoman!”
