What Have We Been Up To?

Thank you to everyone who joined us at
Kingston Point Beach for our Summer Barbecue. We had a blast reconnecting with some familiar faces, and welcoming a few new ones!

It was the perfect way to celebrate a week of failures — on the part of those who aim to remove healthcare from millions — and to refuel for the next challenge. We also wanted  to our show appreciation for those of you who have been rallying, reaching out, and doing all of the seemingly tiny tasks that are so essential to every great achievement. If you weren’t able to attend and missed our scavenger hunt kickoff, keep an eye on our Facebook event. A .pdf with everything you need will be posted later this week, and you’ll have until August 25th to solve as many clues as you can!

Education Committee Sign Making Party
7 Grand Street, Kingston
On August 12th, we are marching for a federal budget that is equitable and just. Education is on the chopping block with the Trump Budget, and we need to make sure our message is loud and clear. Members of the Education Committee will be making signs and are inviting concerned parents, students, and citizens to join – get crafty, and learn more about our goals!

Save the Date!

Saturday, August 12th
Academy Green, Kingston
Citizens’ March*
* The definition of the word “citizen” is “an inhabitant of a particular town or city”. We chose this name to combat the right-wing rhetoric and help change the narrative around what a Citizen really is. We welcome all concerned members of towns and cities across the Hudson Valley!

The Trump budget will be devastating for all, and we must make sure our voices are heard!
We believe that we can do better.
Come march to show that we demand a budget that meets everyone’s basic needs, regardless of their age, ability, financial or immigration status — a budget that does not take from our most vulnerable to give tax cuts to the most wealthy.

RSVP Here. If you are part of a group that wants to endorse this event, please fill out this form.

Wednesday, August 23rd

The Old Dutch Church (272 Wall Street, Kingston)

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
NY19 Candidate Forum
8 Candidates have decided to stand up to run for Congress in 2018. This amount of competition should have John Faso scared to keep voting against his constituents.

We are excited to offer an opportunity to ask questions of our candidates, and an even better opportunity to show John Faso that he’s replaceable.

We have confirmed Jeff Beals, Steven Brisee, David Clegg, Antonio Delgado, Brian Flynn, Gareth Rhodes, Pat Ryan, and Sue Sullivan.
