New York, NY — Citizen Action of New York has announced its endorsement of Amanda Septimo in the 84th Assembly District. The district covers the southern portion of the Bronx.
A lifelong Bronx resident, Septimo is running to expand affordable housing options, improve the quality and safety of public housing, and invest in youth afterschool programming.
“Amanda Septimo‘s dedication to her community is real. Most young Bronxites who show potential and ambition are told too many times to get out, because they can make a better life somewhere else. For Amanda, that wasn’t the route she wanted to take. When she graduated from college, she came back to her home, determined to improve it for the community she believes in. Those are the actions of someone who really cares,” said Citizen Action member Amanda Farias.
“I am proud to have Citizen Action’s endorsement of my candidacy for State Assembly,” said Amanda Septimo, Democratic candidate in the 84th Assembly District. “The South Bronx has been without effective leadership for too long, and I am committed to delivering real results for our students, seniors, immigrants, and working families.
