Citizen Action Endorses Scott Murphy for Congress
Applauds commitment to health care for all and strengthening our economy
Albany – Recognizing his dedication to providing health care for all Americans and his experience in creating jobs that will strengthen our economy, Citizen Action of New York has endorsed Scott Murphy in the 20th Congressional District special election.
“We are proud to support Scott Murphy for Congress. His extensive experience building businesses and creating jobs makes him the best person to represent us in Washington and work with President Obama to get our economy moving in the right direction again,” said Anita Thayer, Co-Chair of Capital District Citizen Action. “At this critical moment in history, we need leaders who understand the problems working families are facing and have the knowledge and experience to solve those problems.”
In addition to Murphy’s experience creating jobs, Thayer also applauded his strong support for providing access to quality, affordable health care to all Americans. “Scott understands the deep connections between a healthy society and a strong economy. We need more leaders in Congress who have a positive vision for our future and the skills to turn that vision into reality.”
