The House of Representatives has adjourned for their August recess – without bringing a vote on health care reform to the floor.
During the August recess, we, along with our coalition partners at Health Care for America Now, will be holding rallies and town hall meetings, visiting our Members of Congress, and speaking to New Yorkers about the importance of passing health care reform that will bring access and affordability for health coverage to everyone in New York.
There’s no doubt that we’ll encounter the right-wing organized campaign to disrupt the public discourse about the need for health care reform as we’re spreading our message over the next month.
We need to make sure that our voices are louder – because our message is stronger. 14,000 people lose their health coverage every day in the United States. Health care can’t wait!
And, we can’t win without you!
