Yesterday, Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that a public option will be included in the Senate’s health care reform bill – a big victory.
But, what the news isn’t mentioning is that Senator Schumer has been central to these negotiations and gave the public option new life in the Senate.
Because of his tenacity and negotiating skills, a public option will be part of the Senate health care reform bill. A public option lives: we owe Chuck Schumer a big “Thank You!”
