Today, Senate Democrats held a press conference announcing the introduction of two bills that would establish a publicly financed Fair Elections system for statewide and legislative campaigns.

Senate Democratic Leader John Sampson introduced S7036, a same as bill for the bill introduced last week by Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.

Senator Adams introduced S3584, a similar bill that has been introduced for the past few years in the State Senate.

Fair Elections for New York now has legislation introduced in both houses of the state legislature.
