Citizen Action of New York is proud to announce our support for Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins as the new leader of the New York State Senate Democratic Conference. Senator Stewart-Cousins has long been an advocate for progressive issues and on behalf of Citizen Action, I applaud her commitment and dedication to all New Yorkers.
The issues facing our state require a bold, progressive leader like Senator Stewart-Cousins. Already, she has been a champion for New York’s working families and has been a consistent voice in the New York State Senate in advocating for publicly financed Fair Elections, raising the state’s minimum wage, fairly funding our schools and taking the reigns of our government from the special interests.
We urge all Senators elected on a progressive platform to join with Leader Stewart-Cousins in moving our state forward.
