New York – Today, Citizen Action of New York announced its endorsement of seven incumbent state legislators for re-election, including Deborah Glick (AD 66), Linda B. Rosenthal (AD 67), Richard N. Gottfried (AD 75), Jeffrey Dinowitz (AD 81), Kevin Parker (SD 21), Brad Hoylman (SD27) and Liz Krueger (SD 28), as well as Latrice Walker, candidate to represent the 55th Assembly District.
In announcing the endorsements, Té Revesz, Chair of Citizen Action’s New York City Chapter, said:
“We’re proud to endorse these seven progressive allies in the New York State Legislature. These leaders have committed themselves to join with Citizen Action and work for passage of a Fair Elections campaign finance law, equitable distribution of school aid, and increasing the minimum wage to at least $10.10. They have also promised to work to close corporate tax loopholes and to ban the dangerous practice of fracking everywhere in New York State.
“We’re also excited to endorse Latrice Walker in her candidacy for the 55th Assembly District. A long time grassroots organizer, Ms. Walker shares our vision of social justice and our priorities of quality education, affordable health care and public financing of election campaigns. When elected, she will strengthen the progressive coalition in the New York State Assembly and help New York become more responsive to the needs of all of its citizens.”
