Albany, NY – In response to the Assembly’s plan to increase taxes on the richest New Yorkers, Karen Scharff, Executive Director of Citizen Action of New York, said:
“The Assembly’s tax plan is a recognition that our economy won’t work for all New Yorkers until those who benefit the most pay their fair share. We stand with Speaker Heastie, Chairman Farrell and all Assemblymembers who understand that our communities need investment to thrive. A modest increase in taxes on the rich will provide our public schools with the resources to give all kids a chance at success.”
