Albany, NY – On October 12, the members of Citizen Action of New York’s Capital District Chapter were proud to announce their endorsement of Chad Putman for New York State Senate. Running to represent the 49th district Putman is a lifelong New Yorker who not only understands the struggles that families in the capital district are facing but has tangible solutions for working class people.
“New York has the potential to be the leader in progressive politics, but we need the right people in the senate for this to happen. That’s why Chad Putman is my guy.” Said Citizen Action member, Will Rivas. “Chad supports Local Business, additional funding for schools, and wants to address the growing issue of Income inequality. That’s the kind of leadership we need.”

Chad Putman is a lifelong resident of upstate New York. A product of the public school and State University of New York systems, he has over a decade of experience in the human service field. Today Chad is the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Schenectady where he has chaired the American Made – Manufacturing Week Committee for the last two years. He is a passionate community advocate, volunteer and grassroots organizer.
