Kingston, NY – In response to the negative polling being carried out by the With Honors Super PAC, Jessica Wisneski, Deputy Director of Citizen Action of New York, has issued the following statement:
“On Tuesday six Democratic candidates–including Pat Ryan–signed a pledge committing to running positive campaigns. The pledge was co-signed by dozens of supporting organizations and Democratic leaders.
“Today we learned that the With Honor Super PAC, which is backing Ryan, is spending $14,000 on negative polling against fellow candidate Antonio Delgado. The last thing NY-19 needs is outside big money groups to be directing negative campaign ads toward a possible Democratic challenger to John Faso, and that is exactly what a negative poll leads to. Citizen Action is calling on Pat Ryan to denounce With Honor’s negative polling and stay true to his promise to run a clean campaign.”
