Albany, NY — Stanley Fritz will take on the role of Political Director for Citizen Action of New York, a grassroots, member-based organization with eight chapters and affiliates across New York State working to create transformational change in pursuit of social, economic, environmental and racial justice.
“Stanley has dedicated his life to fighting injustice and winning real improvements in people’s lives. Even with his years of experience working on the inside and outside of Albany and New York City politics, he always shows up to the halls of power with the strength and courage of our members and communities front and center. I’m so excited to see him continue to shape the direction of this organization in his new role as we build a people-powered movement across New York State,” said Ivette Alfonso, Citizen Action of New York’s President.
Stanley currently serves as Citizen Action’s New York City Campaigns Manager, and played a key role in advancing the issue of public campaign financing to the forefront of the 2018-2019 state legislative session through the Fair Elections for New York campaign. Stanley graduated from SUNY Old Westbury in 2010 and previously worked at the New York Public Interest Research Group as a Project Coordinator, where he honed his outreach and organizing skills fighting to preserve the promise of public higher education. At WE ACT for Environmental Justice Stanley served as the Communications Director, where he helped communicate the intersections between the air we breathe and systematic racism. He originally joined Citizen Action to work on the communications team.
Stanley will be joining Citizen Action of New York’s leadership team, alongside Co-Executive Directors Rosemary Rivera and Jess Wisneski, Organizing Director Jamaica Miles, Managing Director Charlie Albanetti and Communications Director Roberto LoBianco.
