Candidates receive endorsement from Citizen Action’s community-led board
New York, NY – After a successful 2019 legislative session that saw the passage of historic housing reforms, Citizen Action of New York’s New York City chapter announced its endorsement of Diana Richardson for re-election in the 43rd Assembly District.
“Diana Richardson has been an absolute champion on housing. There is no one who has had a louder voice and fought harder than she has in the Assembly,” said Christina Sparrock, a member leader with Citizen Action. “Without her leadership, I doubt we would have the housing package that was passed last session. We are proud to endorse her for re-election.”
“I am proud to receive the support and endorsement of Citizen Action of New York. They have long been a statewide leader, and a true progressive voice in New York City,” said Assemblymember Diana Richardson.
Citizen Action of New York is a grassroots organization with eight regional chapters and over 30,000 members across New York State. The organization works on issues important to our communities, including limiting the influence of money in politics, guaranteeing livable wages and economy-boosting jobs, strong public schools, ending mass incarceration, and more. Citizen Action endorses candidates for public office who support the same vision for a New York that works for everyone, not just the wealthy.
