New York, NY—Citizen Action of New York announced its endorsement of Working Families Party candidate, Andrew Gounardes, for re-election in state Senate District 22.
Andrew received the organization’s endorsement due to his commitment to championing progressive issues that impact everyday New Yorkers, including pedestrian safety in the district, improving New York City’s public transportation system, fully funding public schools, and universal health care.
“Since being elected to represent South Brooklyn in 2018, Andrew Gounardes has stood true to his values in Albany. He’s been a fighter for a true progressive agenda even when it’s required him to take personal risks,” said Jesse Laymon, co-chair of Citizen Action’s New York City Chapter. “After decades of this neighborhood being poorly represented by a self-dealing and truth-averse Senator, Andrew has been a breath of fresh air.
