Rochester, NY – Citizen Action of New York announced its endorsements for Monroe County Legislature, including Democratic candidates Sherita Traywick in District 19, Rachel Barnhart in District 21, Rajesh Barnabas in District 24 and Dorian Hall in District 25. Citizen Action is also backing Kim Smith, Jasmin Reggler, Stanley Martin and Brittan Hardgers for Rochester City Council.
“I am proud to be endorsed by an organization that works tirelessly for the people and fights for communities where our everyone can thrive,” said Sherita Traywick, candidate for Monroe County Legislature, District 19.
“Citizen Action is making a huge difference on issues that matter to our community, such as education, housing, wages. I am honored to be endorsed by Citizen Action and the movement to fight inequality and injustice,” said Rachel Barnhart, candidate for Monroe County Legislature, District 21.
“My seminary for political development has always been the street through protest, but if there was a curriculum that I consistently took with me over the years it was from Citizen Action — a justice organization that mentors activists on effectiveness, melding revolutionary spirit with political reality. I am honored and grateful for their endorsement of my candidacy for Monroe County Legislator,” said Rajesh Barnabas, District 24.
“I bleed Grassroots Organizing for Change, and Citizen Action Endorsement means, We Vote Together for Public Education, Affordable Housing, and Justice reform. Thank you for believing in me,” said Dorian Hall, candidate for Monroe County Legislature, District 25.
