Rochester, NY – Citizen Action of New York announced its endorsement of Democratic candidates Camille Simmons and Joshua Bauroth for Rochester City School Board, Robin Wilt for Brighton Henrietta Town Board, and Jenna Curcio for Greece Town Board.
“I am excited about my recent endorsement by Citizen Action of New York! I’m humbled that the organization has expressed confidence in me as a Rochester City School District School Board Candidate, who can support furthering the mission of fighting for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. Together, we can break barriers and build expectations,” said Camille Simmons, candidate for Rochester City School Board
“Citizen Action has emerged as a strong progressive voice over the past several years and so their endorsement matters! Like Citizen Action I believe all children deserve an equitable education, one that is culturally relevant and speaks to them, while challenging students, families and educators to excel not just in the classroom but in life. My heartfelt thanks to Citizen Action for their belief in me and, more importantly, their faith in our young scholars,” said Joshua Bauroth, candidate for Rochester City School Board.
“Citizen Action’s endorsement is incredibly meaningful to me. We share a common vision that involves achieving racial, social, and economic justice, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to work on enacting this change at the local level. As a grassroots candidate, I am committed to working with organizers in our community to reach these ambitious yet necessary goals in Greece,” said Jenna Curcio, candidate for Greece Town Board.
“It is my honor to again be recognized as an endorsed candidate by Citizen Action of New York. I am fortunate to work alongside its members and organizers to help bring about the systemic changes that are desperately needed in our communities to improve lives, regardless of socioeconomic status. I look forward to continuing to collaborate toward achieving the policies we need to make our communities more just, equitable, and sustainable,” said Robin Wilt, candidate for Brighton Town Board.
