Since I started in office I could and can always rely on the organizing force of this organization, its staff, and members to right for equity in our state. Whether it’s housing, environmental, or health justice I’m grateful to be able to organize with Citizen Action and to work towards the better future we know is possible, ” said Assemblymember Jessica González-Rojas, candidate for re-election to Assembly District 34.
“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of Citizen Action of New York!” said Catalina Cruz, candidate for re-election to Assembly District 39. “I have dedicated my career to protecting the rights of the most vulnerable members of our communities, including the working poor, immigrants, and women. I understand that real and lasting power comes from the people (and uniting them) and I look forward to continuing the fight for equity alongside Citizen Action.”
“Every issue —social, racial, economic, environmental—is interconnected and that’s why we fight for a full progressive agenda. We look forward to working with these progressive leaders as we fight for a vision of society that benefits all New Yorkers,” said Jeff Gold, member of the Citizen Action New York City Chapter.
“As a grassroots organization, we support the candidates who have demonstrated their commitment to showing up for our most vulnerable community members, standing against the excessive influence of corporations and the ultra-wealthy in our politics, and advancing legislation that promotes equity, justice, safety and well-being for every New Yorker,” said Stanley Fritz, Political and Campaigns Director of Citizen Action of New York.
Citizen Action of New York is a grassroots organization with eight regional chapters and affiliates and over 30,000 members across New York State. We work on issues important to our communities, including fair elections, equitable school funding, housing for all, environmental justice, and ending mass incarceration.
