Albany, NY– Citizen Action of New York’s Capital District chapter announced its endorsement of Albany County Legislator Sam Fein for the position of City Auditor in Albany. Sam — an active member of Citizen Action for many years — has a demonstrated record of fighting for affordable and safe housing, investment in community, and equitable tax policies, among other issues impacting families in the City of Albany.
“When we think about co-governance and electing people to office who represent our membership, Sam Fein is the perfect example of this partnership,” said Alycia Bacon, Citizen Action Board Member. “Sam has continuously shown up to assist all residents of Albany, not just our members. We know he will be the perfect person to hold this position as a steward of Albany’s financial commitments to everyone, not just the privileged few.”
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Citizen Action of New York. As a longtime member, I’ve been proud to stand alongside those who tirelessly fight for equity, justice, and community empowerment. Citizen Action listens to the needs of our communities and empowers people to drive meaningful change. As Albany City Auditor, I will work to ensure our government truly reflects the realities of working people and leads with transparency and accountability. Together, we can build a city where every neighborhood thrives and all residents feel seen, heard, and valued.” said Sam Fein, Candidate for Albany City Auditor.
