“Once again Congressional Republicans are advancing their extremist agenda — this time by moving to pass a reckless spending bill that undermines critical social programs, threatens the livelihoods of working families, and paves the way for mass deportations and widespread job cuts to our federal workforce.
We are deeply disappointed that Democratic Minority Leader Schumer chose at this moment to yield to right-wing extremists and cast a vote in favor of moving this harmful spending bill forward. New Yorkers need representative leaders who will fight for them, not politicians who will bend to the Trump Administration and its billionaire ally Elon Musk. We expect to see more productive collaboration with the Minority Leader as we continue, and call on the New York Delegation to put working-class New Yorkers first, reject MAGA extremism, and protect and defend the social services that millions of Americans rely on.”
