Dear Activists,
In just six weeks of campaigning, Cynthia Nixon has already cut Governor Cuomo’s lead in half. New Yorkers are growing tired of the bullying tactics and broken promises of Andrew Cuomo. We can boost Cynthia even more by amplifying her message on social media. Please use (and share) this nifty toolkit we put together for community leaders.

AROUND THE STATE
On the anniversary of the House passage of the AHCA, activists in Binghamton, Utica, Glens Falls, and Kingston called attention to the proposed cuts to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which have been rolled into the Farm Bill. We are demanding Reps. Elise Stefanik, John Faso, and Claudia Tenney vote against any bill that includes cuts to SNAP, a vital program that serves millions of children, seniors, and people with disabilities.
Our Buffalo Chapter held a School Climate Forum to promote restorative practices and alternatives to suspension. The panel consisted of parents, students, and teachers committed to improving school climate in Buffalo Public Schools.
In New York City, our organizers led an Runaway Inequality training to show how our economy has been rigged in favor of giant corporations and the very rich. (You can learn more about Runaway Inequality here.)
